I just got back from a 4 days trip please read!
This place was so beautiful! From the minute, you step out of the taxicab your visual journey begins. The employees are very nice and friendly, Denis is the best bag Boy ever, he is very funny, friendly and helpful, he loves his golf car, this is his Cadillac! The front desk help has trouble understanding the meaning of your questions; they tend to understand what you are saying, but there is still an problem with understanding the meaning of your questions. For example, my husband gave the front desk guy $100.00 American dollars for exchange in Pesos, and the guy his name is Jesus only gave us back $80.00 worth in Pesos, charging us more than any bank exchange or money exchange fees. When my husband pulled up the rate exchange numbers to show him the he owed us more Pesos, he acted like he did not understand what my husband was trying to tell him! In addition, forget taking travelers checks! 90% of all places there do not take them. The flex meal plans are well worth the buy to save money on the food there! The food was very good! The bar drinks are great! The rooms are breathtaking views, if you get an ocean view! There is major construction going on now; all day long, you will hear a jackhammer going from 8am until around sunset! The massage at club interwest down by the beach was the best that I have eve had! So good that I kissed the lady's hands. Do not buy sunscreen there in the gift shop; my husband had to pay $18.00 for sunscreen 30!! Wow! What a rip off! Go in town to the market to buy sundress! they are way cheaper there! I paid $70.00 at the club gift shop for a dress that I could have gotten at the market for maybe $20.00. You are not going to believe this one! I had the best Italian food in my life at il Mare this restaurant is about 3 restaurants down on the left as you leave the main gates of Club Interwest Hotel! As for Carlos this waiter is so very friendly and loves to talk, his English is great!! People if you love Clams! OMG I ate the Fettuccini with clams in a white wine sauce and I almost died and went to heaven! The best ever! Can you believe this? And they take Travelers checks! Anyways over all we had a wonderful time and it is well worth going there and it is very safe as well! Great place to relax and do nothing, also the people that we met they traveling to are very friendly and they expressed that they travel back there year after year! Oh and one other thing you must know, the enternet connections were so F-----ing slow don't waist your time!
