Bears vs. Cowboys College Basketball Picks

Baylor’s
win this past weekend against the Texas A&M Aggies probably put
it on the right side of the bubble for the first time in a long time,
though by no means is this a spot that it wants to be in at the
moment. The Bears will tell you that they should be in significantly
better shape right now than this, and they are going to need to
scratch together at least two, if not three more wins to feel
relatively good enough going dancing. The play of the defense for this
team is always key, because the squad isn’t really all that deep. March Madness is going to start soon and this match reveals the hype for it.

At
times, it really feels like Lace Darius Dunn and Perry Jones III are
carrying the whole club. Both men did put up 16 in that upset of the
Aggies in Waco. The two are capable of much, much more though,
especially knowing that Dunn only shot 5-for-16 from the field. They’ll
need to tap into that reserve to win on the road against a team as
good as this.

 The
suspended bodies are really starting to rack up for the Cowboys, and
this is really probably going to be their demise when push comes to
shove. Darrell Williams was already suspended due to his role in a
sexual assault case from December, and now, the team’s starting point
guard, Ray Penn has been sat down thanks to a violation of a team
policy. This all comes at a terrible time for Okie State, as it really
needs this win and at least three more to have a chance at going into
the field of 68. If this one is lost, the reality will really be
setting in that the NIT is going to be the postseason tournament this
year.

If
there’s a man that can stop all of this bleeding though, it is
Marshall Moses. Perhaps if Ekpe Udoh were still here with the Bears,
this would be a viable matchup, but Moses really should have his way in
the paint. He’s averaging 14.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Hoewver, it might be even more important that he is shooting 56.8
percent from the field, something that is really a welcome sign for a
team that is only connecting on 43.6 percent of its shots for the
season.

This is the end of the road for the Pokes.
Baylor just has too much going for it right now, and it realizes that
it needs this road win to really help lock down that ticket to the
biggest dance of the year. Okie State will bow out and head to the NIT
in all likelihood with this loss. Try College Basketball Betting starting this match.
