Well, it’s official. Hyundai has made history again. Well, made
history for itself anyways. The Korean car maker has finally reached
over 500,000 U.S. sales in one year for the first time in history.
That’s a half a million cars and one quarter of two million cars.
That’s five times 100,000 cars sold in the United States. To put it
another way: it’s a lot of cars.
It is the first time ever that Hyundai has broken the 500,000 barrier
and is a record high for cars sold by Hyundai in the U.S. during one
year. Dealerships across the nation, like your local Miramar Hyundai
dealer, have been successful largely in part to the enhancements and
redesigns of their most popular models. Hyundai has become one of the
most desirable brands with its large line-up of stylish, affordable
models in every class. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata was released to much
praise from consumers and critics alike with features generally reserved
for higher-priced luxury sedans. This includes, but is not limited to,
an optional 274-hp 4-cylinder turbo engine, a completely unique
exterior and interior design and all of the amenities of a luxury
automobile. Not to mention the fact that this Hollywood, FL Hyundai car was recently named one of Car and Driver’s “10 Best Cars for 2011”.
In addition to the all new Sonata, Hyundai tried its hand at
redesigning its signature crossover vehicle and mid-size sedan and came
up with the completely new 2011 Hyundai Tucson and 2011 Hyundai
Elantra. Both vehicles saw drastic increases in sales with Tucson sales
increasing by 145 percent and Elantra sales increasing by 22 percent
year-over-year. Both models have already made their way to Miramar Hyundai
dealerships and sales are off to a strong start. Sales are projected
to be well above that of 2010 largely in part to the addition of new
features and models including the Hyundai Equus luxury model and rumors
of four models due to achieve an unprecedented 40-mpg.
